Cashwalk Users Say They Plan to Track Their Steps During Chuseok, Too

Nudge Healthcare, which operates the health management app Cashwalk, announced the results of a survey on how its users plan to manage their health during the Chuseok holiday. The company said it surveyed 711 users from September 1 to 10 through the "2026 Chuseok Holiday Health Management Survey" to examine Cashwalk users' plans for step management during the holiday.

The survey found that 86.8% of respondents said they plan to manage their step count during the Chuseok holiday as well. Nudge Healthcare said 86.8% of respondents had made plans to track their steps during the holiday, indicating that a large share intended to keep up with their step goals even during the break.

It also found that the more steps people typically take in a day, the more likely they were to say they planned to manage their step count during the holiday. This highlighted differences in holiday health management plans depending on one's usual walking level. By response breakdown, 44.2% said they would manage their step count at roughly the same level as usual, 23.2% said they would aim to maintain a certain level even if they walked less than usual, and 19.4% said they planned to walk more than usual.

Only 13.1% said they would not pay attention to their step count at all during the Chuseok holiday. Even though walking volume could decrease during the break, many still intended to keep tracking their steps, showing broad willingness to continue step management during the holiday.

Intentions to exercise by walking during the holiday also varied by usual step count. Among users who walk 7,000 steps or more a day, 91.4% said they would keep track of their steps during Chuseok, while the same response rate among users who walk less than 5,000 steps was 72.1%. The gap between the two groups was 19.3 percentage points, showing that those with higher usual walking activity had a relative edge in their willingness to continue step management during the holiday.

Walking was the most commonly chosen physical activity plan for the Chuseok holiday. In multiple responses, strolling and walking ranked first at 61.0%.

With walking-related activities leading the way, walking during travel or outings came in at 27.8%, grave visits and weeding at ancestral graves at 18.0%, running and jogging at 14.6%, and home training at 10.4%.

The survey also found a high intention to return to a health management routine after the holiday. Overall, 58.1% of respondents said they plan to resume exercise immediately after the holiday ends, and when those who answered "within 2 to 3 days after the holiday ends" are included, 72.0% were found to plan to restart exercise within 3 days after the holiday.

Park Jeong-sin, CEO of Nudge Healthcare, said the survey confirmed users' willingness to maintain their health management routines by continuing to manage their step counts during the holiday. He added that the survey also confirmed differences in intentions to manage steps during the holiday depending on people's usual step levels. He further said Cashwalk plans to continue providing a range of services to support ongoing walking and healthy lifestyle habits.
