Open Source Consulting Helps MiraeN Build an Atlassian Collaboration Environment and Improve Operational Efficiency

Open Source Consulting built an enterprise-wide collaboration environment for MiraeN. The environment is based on Atlassian's Jira and Confluence. Open Source Consulting also supported MiraeN's efforts to improve operational efficiency.

Open Source Consulting also helped MiraeN introduce Atlassian Marketplace app Flexible User License. The operational efficiency basis for this license is the number of actual users.

According to Open Source Consulting, MiraeN is pushing ahead with internal innovation. The goals of that innovation are to improve work productivity, raise management standards, and transform into an AI-centered company.

Against this backdrop, MiraeN is expanding the scope of its use of Jira and Confluence. The expansion aims to systematically connect work and information in cross-department collaboration processes. Jira and Confluence are part of the company-wide work innovation effort.

Multiple organizations participate in publishing work, from planning to production and development. Given the nature of publishing work, the need to manage a single collaboration environment for work progress and related information is growing.

MiraeN uses Jira across multiple organizations, including the planning, operations, and development teams, and uses it for project and work management. The scope of Jira's application is expanding from development work to publishing work as a whole.

MiraeN also uses Confluence, which serves as a collaboration space centered on document creation and information sharing. Confluence provides functions for accumulating and sharing knowledge and work information within the organization.

Based on this usage, MiraeN is working to connect work processes and information that can become fragmented by department. In addition, MiraeN is laying the groundwork for AI expansion of work data.

Flexible User License provides dashboards showing user activity and license utilization for Atlassian products, and it also offers automated inactive account recovery and reassignment functions. The solution is used across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, semiconductors, and finance, and more than 300 companies worldwide have adopted it. Flexible User License is used to reduce license costs and improve operational efficiency.

MiraeN said that, as it pursues the advanced development of the functions and services of 'M Teacher,' 'M Teacher Mall,' and 'Choco,' interdepartmental collaboration has been occurring frequently inside the company. In this regard, the company said it is operating by introducing Flexible User License, which is based on actual user activity, as the number of Jira organizations and users expands, and that its current Jira license utilization rate is maintained at about 70% to 80%. It also said this allows it to use existing licenses more efficiently, reduce the burden of additional purchases, and help determine the appropriate license size when needed.

MiraeN said it plans to gradually expand Jira's use beyond planning and development to publishing work as a whole. It added that it will also promote document and knowledge sharing through Confluence and continue to further advance its Atlassian-based company-wide collaboration system.
