Tomato System Completes Construction of Chonbuk National University's Next-Generation Integrated Information System 'JUMP'...Supports Digital Campus Transition

Tomato System announced on the 14th that it has completed the construction of Chonbuk National University's next-generation integrated information system, 'JUMP,' and has begun full-scale operation.

With this launch, Chonbuk National University has overhauled the legacy system it has operated since 2011. Through this, it has integrated academic, administrative, and research operations and built a digital campus infrastructure covering the full scope of academic, administrative, and research work.

The new system supports the transition to a digital campus by delivering personalized services and a data-driven work environment. The project is also an example of digital transformation support for universities selected for 'Glocal University 30.'

Chonbuk National University held a 'Next-Generation System (JUMP·JUIC) Launch Commemoration Event.' The event was attended by President Yang O-bong, university members, and officials from Tomato System.

After winning the first-phase construction project for Chonbuk National University's next-generation integrated information system in December 2024, Tomato System carried out the entire project process and unveiled the newly launched JUMP. Tomato System was responsible for analysis and design, application development, IT infrastructure construction, data migration, integration testing, and user validation. JUMP is a mobile- and portal-centered single platform for professors, students, and staff.

Tomato System said the focus of this project went beyond simply replacing an aging system and was instead centered on improving user-oriented university administration and creating a data-driven work environment. JUMP provides personalized academic, administrative, and extracurricular services for each user, and about 4,000 new screens were developed to create a paperless work environment. The company also introduced multilingual services for foreign members and a 'graduation self-check' function that allows students to directly verify whether they have met graduation requirements. The company said the multilingual services and 'graduation self-check' have improved convenience.

A number of Tomato System's core solutions were applied to the project. At the center of the solutions used was the HTML5-based UI·UX platform 'eXBuilder6,' along with the database modeling tool 'eXERD,' the customized portal 'eXPortal,' the survey system 'eXSurvey,' and the test automation solution 'AIQBot.' Tomato System said the application of these solutions improved development productivity and maintenance convenience for the university system.

Tomato System CEO Jo Gil-ju said the official launch of JUMP reaffirms the company's technological capabilities in university informatization and its ability to build large-scale systems.

CEO Jo said the university's digital innovation, following its selection for Glocal University 30, has been realized through the next-generation integrated information system. He said he hopes this case will serve as a benchmarking model for other universities pursuing similar innovation. He added that the company will support stable operations and pursue further upgrades, while actively expanding next-generation information systems and AI-based digital transformation projects for universities nationwide.

Tomato System has been supplying solutions and services across university informatization, including integrated information systems, academic systems, portals, single sign-on (SSO), and surveys, to numerous universities and educational institutions. Through this, Tomato System is strengthening its competitiveness in the related market.
