KT to Unveil AX Technologies for Disaster Response and Voice Phishing Prevention at Safety Industry Expo

KT will participate in the "2026 Korea Safety Industry Expo (K-SAFETY EXPO 2026)" to unveil AX solutions that use AI and telecommunications infrastructure to support safety. The targets include everyday settings, industrial sites, and disaster scenes.

The Korea Safety Industry Expo is a safety industry trade show hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and Busan Metropolitan City, and it runs through the 4th. KT has participated for 5 consecutive years since 2022.

At this year's expo, KT will introduce disaster and safety communications network AX technologies. This year’s booth is organized around safety AX solutions, an intelligent disaster response system, AI-based voice phishing prevention, and network security.

Accordingly, the scope of safety technology applications has expanded from disaster response to everyday financial fraud and cyber threats. The exhibit is designed to include not only disaster response technologies but also voice phishing prevention and network security.

In the disaster response area, the real-time remote control system, "SafeMate," will be presented as a public service. "SafeMate" is based on a 112-119 linkage system, supports control and response in emergencies such as crime and fire, and provides safety management services using the LTE network.

KT presents different technologies tailored to different risk situations, including disaster response, financial fraud response, and network security. In disaster scenes where it is difficult for rescue workers to gain access, unmanned mobility devices are used.

At disaster sites, the "KT Safety integrated unmanned mobility control platform" provides integrated control and monitoring technologies for drones, unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), and unmanned surface vehicles (USV). The platform helps locate people in need of rescue even in environments where communication services are difficult to use.

For financial fraud response, AI is applied to everyday financial fraud prevention. "AI Voice Phishing Detection Service 2.0" detects voice phishing risks based on real-time analysis of call content, and adds speaker recognition for phishing scammers and deepvoice detection to existing scenario analysis. KT plans to advance the service into a multimodal-based 3.0 service in the future, and the analysis targets of the 3.0 service will include voice, text, and nonverbal factors such as speaking style, intonation, and speed. The direction of advancement for the 3.0 service is to broaden the scope of detection in response to changing voice phishing tactics.

In the network security category, KT is highlighting "KT WiFi Guard." "KT WiFi Guard" manages access by approved devices through an agent installed in a WiFi router and responds to external hacking attempts by applying a zero-trust approach. The technology is being applied to the "KT GiGA WiFi Home AP."

At KT's exhibition booth, kt sat, Samsung SDS, and CyberTel, along with group affiliates and partners, will showcase disaster safety-related technologies such as satellite communications and AI-based disaster command systems. The booth is also set up with hands-on safety solution experience programs for visitors, allowing them to try the related technologies directly.

Lee Jin-gwon, head of the Enterprise Proposal and Execution Division in KT's Enterprise Division, said KT has experience in building and operating disaster and safety communications networks and has capabilities in building AX platforms. He added that the company is continuously advancing its technologies to strengthen safety in daily life and industrial settings, and expressed hope that this expo will provide an opportunity to experience KT's various safety AX solutions and its technological capabilities in the disaster safety field.
