CapCrush Privacy Policy
Effective November 2, 2026
BizCrush Inc., a Delaware corporation (“BizCrush,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides CapCrush, an application that shows real-time captions in your chosen language for audio playing on your device. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and disclose personal information when you use the CapCrush application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
CapCrush uses your existing BizCrush account. It does not require a separate CapCrush account.
1. Scope and Account Relationship
You can try CapCrush for a limited time without signing in. To continue, you sign in with your BizCrush account. CapCrush and BizCrush use the same account identifier, so CapCrush activity can be associated with your BizCrush account. The BizCrush privacy policy also applies to the creation, authentication, maintenance, and deletion of that account.
This Policy applies to individual users of CapCrush in the United States and elsewhere. Additional rights may apply based on where you live.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Identifiers and Account Information
- Your BizCrush or Firebase account identifier;
- Your name, email address, and profile image;
- Basic Google or Apple sign-in information you authorize; and
- Authentication status and security-related account metadata.
2.2 Audio and Caption Information
When you start captions, CapCrush uses your device’s screen broadcast feature (iOS) or audio capture feature (Android) to receive the audio playing on your device. We process:
- Device audio from the content you are playing, while captions are on;
- Recognized original text and translated caption text;
- Selected caption language and display settings; and
- Session identifiers and timestamps.
CapCrush uses only the audio. Screen images received through the broadcast feature are not sent to our servers or stored.
The content you play may include the voices or information of other people. We process it only to provide the captions you request. We do not create voiceprints or identify anyone by voice.
2.3 Trial Use Without Sign-In
During the trial, we use an app installation identifier to measure trial time and prevent abuse. If you later sign in, trial usage may be linked to your account.
2.4 Creator Codes
If you enter a creator code (optional), we store the code and the time it was linked to your account. We use it to credit the creator who referred you under our creator program. The app does not offer purchases or discounts.
2.5 Device, Network, and Service Activity
- App installation and device identifiers;
- Device model, operating system, app version, and build;
- Interface language, time zone, and selected languages;
- IP address, access time, and error information; and
- Usage time, credit usage, caption start and display timing, and reliability events. Audio and caption text are not included in these timing events.
2.6 Support Information
If you contact us, we process your email address, your request, and any attachments or diagnostics you choose to send.
CapCrush does not access your contacts, photos, calendar, or precise location.
3. How We Use Information
- Authenticate you through your BizCrush account;
- Receive device audio after you start captions;
- Recognize speech, translate text, and display captions;
- Remember language and display preferences;
- Measure trial time and credit usage, and prevent unauthorized or abusive use;
- Credit creators when you used a creator code;
- Secure, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Respond to support requests; and
- Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and protect users and the Service.
We do not use audio or caption content to build advertising profiles.
4. Cloud Processing
Audio is streamed through authenticated systems for speech recognition and translation. Recognized original text and translated caption text are stored on our servers in association with your account. Raw audio is not stored in our caption database. Service providers may process audio transiently as needed to provide the feature.
5. How We Disclose Information
5.1 Service Providers
- Firebase and Google Cloud Platform for authentication and infrastructure;
- MongoDB Atlas for managed data storage;
- Speech recognition and translation providers;
- An alternative translation provider when a fallback configuration is enabled;
- Tolt, Inc. for creator program attribution and creator payouts, limited to customers who used a creator code or link; and
- Infrastructure, security, monitoring, and customer-support providers.
These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us and must protect it under applicable contracts and law.
5.2 Legal, Safety, and Corporate Transactions
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect the rights and safety of users or others, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce our agreements, or complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Sales, Advertising, and Privacy Signals
We do not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not process it for targeted advertising. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for the collection, sale, or sharing of personal information.
Because we do not engage in these activities, there is currently no separate “Do Not Sell or Share” control. Where applicable law requires us to recognize Global Privacy Control or another valid universal opt-out mechanism, we will treat the signal as a request to opt out of covered processing. CapCrush does not track your activity across third-party websites. Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not interpreted because no uniform standard applies.
7. Retention and Deletion
- Account information: while your BizCrush account exists, and for a reasonable period for security, legal compliance, and disputes.
- Caption text: until you request deletion, delete your BizCrush account, or it is no longer needed to provide the Service.
- Creator code record: while your account exists and as long as needed to settle creator payouts and resolve disputes.
- Device, security, and support data: as long as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and support the Service.
Deleted information may remain in encrypted backups or security logs until normal retention cycles overwrite it.
Request account or data deletion
Use the dedicated deletion-request page to request deletion of your BizCrush account and associated CapCrush data.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. These may include encryption in transit, access controls, authentication and authorization, restricted production access, logging, monitoring, and incident response.
No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on your state of residence and the law that applies to us, you may have the right to:
- Confirm whether we process your personal information;
- Access or obtain a portable copy of personal information associated with you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling;
- Limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information;
- Appeal a decision on your privacy request; and
- Exercise your rights without unlawful discrimination.
To submit a request, email support@bizcrush.ai with “Privacy Request” in the subject line and describe the right you want to exercise. We may verify your identity using your account or email and may request only the information reasonably necessary to complete verification. If your state provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision with “Privacy Appeal.”
An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law. We may require proof of the agent’s authority and direct verification or confirmation from you. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
9.1 California Disclosures
During the preceding 12 months, we collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2 from you, your device, your BizCrush account, and service providers, used them for the purposes in Section 3, and disclosed them for business purposes to the recipient categories in Section 5. We did not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We use audio and caption content only to provide, secure, and support the Service, and not to infer characteristics about you for unrelated purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing use.
10. International Processing
BizCrush is a United States corporation. We and our service providers may process information in the United States, the Republic of Korea, and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards and require providers to protect information consistently with this Policy and applicable law.
11. Children’s Privacy
CapCrush is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. A higher minimum age may apply where required by local law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to CapCrush, our providers, legal requirements, or data practices. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law.
